To get away from feeling overwhelmed and “stuck” in a weekly rut, a weekly reset is a non-negotiable.
Here are 6 little things you can do every week to help you feel inspired and refreshed in every aspect of your life.
1. Tidy Surface Areas
Your environment closely affects your mood and the way you feel. Having a cluttered space can make you feel overwhelmed and unmotivated. Think of this like a 10 min tidy as opposed to deep cleaning. Scheduling some time every week to maybe spritz a room spray, rearrange some furniture or throw away clutter, can immediately boost your mood.
2. Do Your Laundry
Instead of letting your laundry pile up, have a set laundry day every week for your personal clothes, towels and linens. You have to admit that it’s a lovely feeling to have fresh towels, a clean bedsheet and clothes to wear.
3. Wash Your Makeup Brushes
This is something that I’m sure we’re all guilty of. When is the last time you’ve washed your makeup brushes or even beauty blender? This is one of the VIP items that should go on your weekly reset list because you don’t want your skin to be breaking out because of dirty brushes.
4. Clean Out Your Bags & Purses
If you look in your most used bag right now, chances are you’ll have old receipts, random pieces of paper, snack wrappers, money and other random bits and pieces floating around. Every week, give your work bag, purse, gym bag etc. a little TLC.

5. Plan Your Meals
You don’t have to be super strict with this one and plan out every single thing you’re going to be eating during the week. Rather, have an idea of what you might be eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try even prepping a few meals like soups, salads, smoothie bags and some fruits/vegetables so that you can grab these whenever you feel hungry or need to make up a quick meal. This is useful because it can prevent you from over eating, buying junk food or never knowing what to eat.
6. Have Some Me Time
You’ll never be able to live your best life if you don’t actually feel good. It’s so easy to get caught up in all the responsibilities that life throws at you, that you can often neglect yourself. There are simple little things that you can do weekly to boost your mood. Some at home pamper sessions include doing a face or hair mask, a body scrub, foot soak or just taking a refreshing nap.
