We have the cutest pink Beautifully Organized Life accordion file folders that are just perfect for keeping all of your paper organized. If you look around you right now, we’re pretty sure that you might just have some loose paper staring right back at you. We have no idea how that even happens but trust us, you’re not alone. Paper just has the tendency of accumulating and it can literally go from being a single sheet to a huge mound within a week (or less!).
No worries- as always, we are here to lend some advice on how you can use your folders.
PS: check out the cutest bundle here with our folder and signature pen!
1. School
In every subject, you’ll always have some kind of exam, project or assignment to keep track of. By the end of the term, if you don’t organize these, you’ll definitely be scrambling under piles of rubbish to find that one review paper. You can create a tab for each subject in the folder and place your notes and any assignments you have done for that subject into the folder. Another idea is if you have a major course, you can use the folder to separate assignments, projects and notes.
PRETTY TIP: You can use your folder to store academic certificates of achievement for that job interview or University application!
2. Bills
Another great way to use our accordion folder is to track your expenses, payments due and to store your bills. Make each section of the folder a different type of expense e.g. Food, Clothes, Grocery, Personal, Utilities and Miscellaneous. This way, you can see exactly where your money goes every month and be better able to log this information into your budget planner at the end of the day, week or month. If you ever needed to check over a bill at any time, you’ll know exactly where to find it.
3. Business Documents
Having your documents filed and in a system that works for you is one of the most important aspects of being a Boss Babe. You know the moments where you need to produce a copy of your Articles of Incorporation or your Tax information but you could never find it? This folder is perfect for organizing all of your business docs.
PRETTY TIP: Be sure to keep copies of each document in your folder because you’ll always need to produce this at some point- for instance if you’re opening a new bank account or opening a storefront.
4. Meals & Menus
There are very few things we can think of that are worse than losing your favourite recipe card. Using an accordion folder to organize your favourite meals is our favourite way to keep them in one place so that we can enjoy our favourite meals over and over again. This is particularly great to store family recipes and instructions on how to make secret sauces. Also, you can save store menus from your favourite restaurants (sushi & pizza is that you?) for pickup and catering!
5. Track Maintenance & Warranty of Household Appliances
Knowing when and how to service household appliances and ensuring your payments are made on time can be a daunting task. Make it easier by organizing the invoices for your services, appliance manuals and bills for monthly instalments. You can even use this to keep track of appliance manuals so if you ever need to tinker with something, you’ll have the info on hand. You’ll also be able to track service dates and be on time with the future servicing of things like your AC unit. Create a section for each appliance e.g. fridge, stove, AC, and keep it within reach for your next service or payment.
6. Travel Documents & Passport
The world is just about opening back again and the LAST thing you need right now is realizing that your passport has been misplaced. We’re not about that frantic panic when it comes to those VIP documents. You can use your folder to keep track of your passport and VISA as well as any application forms from embassies, travel tickets and other personal identification documents.
7. Personal Documents
Having your personal documents safe and easy to find is super important. Place your docs such as birth and marriage certificates, insurance papers and immunization cards for safe keeping. You can even do this on a family level and label each section by the type of document or by each family member’s name for more efficient storage.
PRETTY TIP: Keep copies of your Driver’s License & ID card and even passport and VISA in here as well! This is something you’ll need at every aspect of your life and you can save your future self the trouble of needing to get copies last minute.
8. Sort Scrapbooking & Planner Supplies
Have a pile of stickers, scrapbooking paper and other little craft supplies laying around in a heap or in a disorganised mess in your desk drawer? No worries, your accordion folder can be used to organize these supplies as well. You can put them into the folder by theme, colour or even brand and have ready access to your supplies for all your planning and scrapbooking needs.
9. Store Prints for Picture Frames
If you’re anything like us, then you probably love a good picture frame or gallery wall to add some life to a room. Being able to change these pictures around for every season or even when you just want to change up your space should never be a hassle and this is where an accordion folder comes in. Print the pictures you would like in your frames and place them in your folder for safekeeping. This will help in preventing the paper from getting creases or becoming soiled so that you can easily swap them out and liven up your space.
10. Insurances
Sigh- the wonderful world of adulting. This is the perfect way to store and organize the different insurances you have and when you need to pay them. You always want to stay on top of it when it comes to things like your car insurance, or even quarterly payments for health insurance or even building insurance. Also in the event that something happens (knock on wood), you’ll be able to have everything you need to get back some coin.
11. Health Log
You can use your folder to keep track of prescriptions as well as your medical history including details such as blood type, doctor visits, x-rays, medical forms etc. If you have a family, you can even use the different pockets for each member. We love this idea because it’s a great way to keep track of which medications you may have taken for a particular ailment- so in the future, you can easily refer to it if necessary. Who knows- this might even save a life!
PRETTY TIP: One of our beautiful customers and mommy-to-be is using her folder to organize all of her doctor appointments, ultrasound pictures and maternity things to do. When she’s ready to give birth, her folder would be right there with her with everything she needs for the next chapter of her life.
12. Event Planning
This can be an entirely overwhelming process but you can stay organized by keeping a paper-trail of bills, lists or anything else that you need when it comes to planning a birthday party, baby shower or even a wedding.
