1. Write down 5 goals

2. Declutter bags and purses
Go around your house and gather all of your bags, purses, gym bags etc. Go through each one and throw away any old receipts, snack wrappers, and other things that don’t belong. You might even find things you may have misplaced like extra cash or that lipstick you love but couldn’t find.
Take this time to also throw away any old or dry rotting bags that have been sitting in your room or donate bags that you don’t use anymore.
3. Declutter your desk
Whether it’s your desk at home or work, try to schedule in a weekly decluttering session.
The first thing we do when decluttering our desk is to remove any bottles or dishes- don’t forget to keep a garbage bag handy! We love removing the bigger items first because it makes things look neater faster and gives that extra bit of encouragement to keep going. Then tackle the paper: throw away any scraps and file any loose pages. Clear up your books and notepads and then move on to the smaller items.
When clearing up, make sure that everything has a place. This is so that when you use things, you can put them back into their designated area. Decluttering your space is sure to encourage you to use it and become a more productive person.
4. Get a workout in
Even if it’s just 15 minutes a day, you should get your body moving. It doesn’t have to be in the gym; you can do any kind of workout that is suitable for you. Try taking a Zumba, dance or spin class or even just go for a walk and taking in some fresh air and sunshine.
You will feel so much better after getting a much-needed boost of endorphins, a skin glow up and a definite pep in your step.
5. Go through your finances
Getting your life together should always include your finances. Take some time to focus on your relationship with money. Look at your bank account and try to account for how you have been spending your money. Where is most of your money going? Are you eating out a bit too much or do you have miscellaneous expenses that you’re not sure about? If this is the case, make your finances a priority and re-evaluate your spending habits. You can even create a budget to help you get your life together. Need some help? Check out our budget planner and inserts.
6. Cook something new
One of the most fulfilling ways to feel accomplished is to try something new or something you thought you couldn’t do. Think of it as trying something new to nourish your body. Look up a simple, healthy recipe online and take one day, maybe a day on the weekend- to try it out. Just imagine how great it will feel when you have finished your meal- and then eating it too. Cooking at home helps you to know exactly what you are putting into your body and will give you a sense of independence.
7. Organize your laptop
We use our laptops so often and it’s super easy for things to become jumbled and disorganised. A good detox and reorganization session every once in a while is good to not only know where all your files are, but also to ensure that it is functioning at its best. Go through your pictures, documents and any other files on your computer and organize them into categories that are best for you. This will save you so much time in the long run We also recommend deleting any files that may no longer be of importance to you so that you can have that extra space for all your new and exciting projects.
8. Write 3 (or 5) things you’re thankful for
There are many studies out there that speak about the importance of gratitude in our everyday lives. When you acknowledge the good things you have, it opens up space for an abundance of more good things to come. Always remember that a grateful heart attracts beautiful blessings.
9. Track your day hour by hour
Doing a time audit is one of the best ways to see how you are spending your day and what you are doing with your time. We all know the feeling of realizing that yet another day flew past with nothing substantial to show for it. When doing your hourly time audit, be sure to account for the time you spend scrolling on social media (you may be so surprised), doing work or spending time with friends and family. When you have all the details of your time spending habits, try to find a good balance that works for you.
10. Throw away 20 things you don’t need /use.
There are so many instances in life where we hoard unnecessary items which in turn leads to a cluttered and disorganized space. Go through your room, closet, kitchen or anywhere in your home where you feel like there are things you may not need. Take a garbage bag with you and throw-or giveaway-20 items. Doing this is going to help you clean and create a more organized space with things you actually need, love and will use.
11. Plan your ideal day
We usually can’t get our lives together or do the things we want to because we don’t have a clear plan of how to do it. As you can tell by now, we’re huge fans of writing things down and making a plan for your ideal day.
Write out the kind of day your best self would have from the moment you wake up, till it’s time for bed. This can include 5 tasks you want to get done, the meals you will make, the workout you’d like to do and the book you want to read. Try your best to do these things the next day. As time goes on, see if you can make any of the items on the list a habit. Before you know it, you will actually be creating and living your dream life.
