A morning routine is a lovely guide that you can choose to live by to help you start the day in the best way possible. You can literally craft your dream morning routine. Take some time to write down what your ideal morning looks like from the moment your wake up. Here are some ideas that you can add to your morning routine.
1. Set a routine for your morning
“Every day I know I’m going to wake up and it’s going to be the same things…It helps me feel like there’s stability in my life and stability around me. I know I’m going to brush my teeth, wash my face and make a coffee…I know that is going to be my morning and that has been helpful.”- Hailey Bieber
2. Make a to-do list the night before
“At the office, I review the to-do list I made the night before. I figure out my priorities and do those first. The day has a way of running away from you, so this makes sure the most important tasks are done.”- Barbara Corcoran
3. Start your day with intent
“Before getting out of bed, I take a few minutes to stretch under the covers and express gratitude for my body and health. I set an intention for the day and I usually say it to myself out loud.” – Elle Russ
4. Make your bed
“I like to make my bed…it’s something that I was taught relatively young … when you make your bed, you’re going to feel better about yourself.” – Madison Beer
5. Listen to something inspiring
“I love to take the time to listen to podcasts I get really distracted by the television and I feel like I can’t get anything done, so I love to turn on some of my favourite podcasts and listen to them and maybe catch up on emails… the positivity puts me in the right mindset to continue through my day.” – Taylor Hill
6. Morning Affirmations
“I like to say affirmations… when you train yourself to think positively, positive things will happen to you. I’m all about mental peace, positivity and thinking in ways to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to do.” – Saweetie
7. Meditation and Journaling
“I go into a 20-minute meditation where I can just really be still and either listen to the music that I put on or sometimes I open the doors and listen to nature. Then, right after, I do my morning pages where I just write a stream of consciousness, not worried about what I’m going to say…everything gets dumped on the page and I feel clear and ready to start my day.” – Julianne Hough
8. Stay off your phone
“I try to make it a point to stay off my social media completely. One thing I was starting to do was wake up and run to Instagram or Twitter. Then you cloud your mind with all the stuff. I can save that for the latter half of my day, so now let’s do some skin care.”- Jackie Aina
9. Hydrate and nourish your body
“I always like to start my morning with loads of liquids before I have something solid to eat. I like to have lots of water, vitamins via a pressed juice or smoothie and then a little bit of caffeine.” – Dove Cameron

10. Prepare for your workout the night before
“I always have my workout clothes out from the night before so I won’t have to go digging through to decide on what I’m wearing. My gym bag is also always packed and ready to go. I don’t even have to think twice and this has helped me so much with getting my workouts in. Being prepared makes you less likely to come up with excuses of why you sleep in. “ – Roxy James
